Nope. Whales. The addicts who needed just one more skin or piece of digital shit. Simpson Tapped Out is still a thing, 11 years later.
There is only so many whales to go around. While they definitely contribute to profit in a substantial way I don't see how they would generate more revenue than units sold. It seems there is still some creative accounting happening at these studios.
