All these flops and bombs and low ratings yet these shows and games were still being made. Where did all this money come from and how the fuck were they able to sustain it. Must have been a money laundering scheme going on for a while.

Games, movies, and shows lag behind ratings and flops. They take years to make so when one game flops and six months later a very similar game comes out its because they thought it would be the trend three years ago
There is only so many whales to go around. While they definitely contribute to profit in a substantial way I don't see how they would generate more revenue than units sold. It seems there is still some creative accounting happening at these studios.

Even if true, EA has over 12000 employees so firing 800 wouldn't mean the death of EA, unfortunately
