I read the entire article, and it didn't explain what the Longhouse is. It hinted at it from several angles, but treated it like a concept the reader should already be familiar with.
Regardless of my quibble with the title of the piece, it is correct that all of our modern social dysfunction is the end result of giving women power they have not historically wielded.
