It's his race as well. He might be a great guy, looks after his mom, his kids look up to him, knows his local grocer who works down the street, he still wouldn't be Scottish. His children might become Scottish, but he isn't, and he's making all the signals that he intends to wage war on the very constituency he's supposed to represent. If Peterson has an academical liberal-minded issue with drawing distinctions about ethnicities and national loyalties, he should voice them out loud. He's more than skilled enough at saying "I don't think we should talk about Whiteness because of this and this." He's skilled enough to actually make those arguments.
