Ukraine usually announces about 3x more Russian casualties than the USA says actually died. That means it's probably more like 4-5x exaggerated when you factor in the USA bias. Given that this is a major event in the war, I would say Ukraine might even be exaggerating at twice their normal propaganda rate.
That means, I expect actual Russian casualties at 100-200.
It's the way of both Ukraine and Russia really. I think there's no question it's a meat grinder though.

Does sound like BS, we will probably never know the true numbers of casualties of the entire war because both sides will not give accurate numbers.
