unfortunately, lotta people are addicted to outrage these days (the internet's a big part of that, though there are other factors), so they look for any little thing to be offended by... naughty words just happen to be the easiest way to get their dopamine fix.

it happens on the right as well, though it tends to take slightly different forms, and it's not as big of an issue. ( an example was a story posted on I think thedonald or gaw a few days ago about black equestrians not being able to fit their oversized hairdos under riding helmets. it was retarded as hell, but nothing out of the ordinary at this point, honestly)
