21% "don't know", so they may as well support the 26%.
If you "don't know" that it's okay to be white (or any other race, for that matter), to merely exist with a skin color, then you're part of the problem.
I'd imagine that at least a portion of the people who answered "don't know" thought, "what the fuck do you even mean?" but I'd also estimate that it's a very small percentage of the population.
The vast majority of human beings do not put that much thought into responses.
And 50% vs 25% actually doesn't functionally make that much of a difference when dealing with regular outcomes of random events. Even at 25% proliferation, you're going to run into it routinely.
it's a simple proposition. imagine if the prompt was "it's okay to be black, agree or disagree" and you said "i don't know". you would be cancelled in a heartbeat.
Literally not true. According to Rasmussen.
53% say it's okay. 26% say it's not okay. 21% say they are not sure.
So, a quarter believe that it's not okay to be white, and races aren't hate groups.

"Don't know" can also mean "what the fuck do you even mean?"
You can't just assume hostility just because you want to.

There is no logical sense in arguing that a quarter and a half are the same in any situation.

You're talking about a specific response, not a statistical analysis.
