Where is Legend of the Galactic Heroes?
Good one! Definitely ought to be filed under "Faded Memories". The lack of an english release for the original limits it from the "Good Stuff" category since people are more likely to learn about it through a message board than from a friend.
I think it would better fit under Gatekeeper's Realm.
I have only met hardcore anime fans who have seen the show.

Excellent anime.
Johan Liebert is one of the best antagonists in anime.
Deserves a rewatch but my god when will any of us find the time.
Monster is excellent but yeah it is very long.
I am glad that I watched all of the masterpiece animes years ago when I had much more time.
