make sure to use words that have a positive connotation to describe actual terrible things and events.

make sure to use words that have a negative connotation to describe good things and events for your opponent's cause.

makeup new words to be used to describe as bad something that is perfectly normal or good for your opponent's cause.

the principle behind his work is the same as cognitive dissonance. by using specific words not in their right contest long enough you attach another meaning to these words that is negative/antithetic to its original. Every time a person uses these words they would express two opposing meanings. this dissonance causes distress in the person who will subconsciously resolve it by deciding on a single meaning for the world.

in this case, the word is "weaponized". it can no longer be used to express the meaning it should carry, it has become a battleground.

normally in a free country, multiple groups of interests fling these around all the time, but there is always a dominant ideology that comes on top at one point, every generation or so.

people in positions of influence in society begin to do gestures of virtue signaling and opening doors to the feminists to avoid getting called bad names.

feminists begin permeating organizations nominally their role is to fight misogyny, in reality, is pure unadulterated power grabbing. (and you get motte and bailey)

as soon the mechanism shows effectiveness every psychopath grifter hungry for power jumps on the bandwagon, swear they always have been feminists, tunes to the ideology totally, and will try to seize positions of power.

the feminists (or whatever it means at this point) obtain more and more positions of influence in the hierarchy of society, to the point where they can now benefit allies and punish dissenters reliably. (and you get authoritarianism)

at this point, people in order to avoid nefarious consequences for themselves, roleplay, and start doing what the ideology expects. (and you get compliance)

this continues to expand until you get to the point that an unrealistic large amount of people inside prominent organizations all claim to be perfectly on the same page on everything, (and you get wrongthink)

the dissenters call those who obey slaves and laugh at them, this hurt the ego of those who receive the insult and to prove the dissenters wrong they start plunging into the ideology more and more to prove they actually really believe in the ideology.

at this point, the feminists well enshrined in positions of power will suggest a better solution for their peons. which is this: the dissenters aren't just wrong, they are evil! destroy the dissenters and obtain the dawn of tomorrow's world. (and you get crusades)
