You gotta work on it a bit to get hands correct. The issue is mostly that AI just cannot learn the concept of hands since artists also suck at hands(me included, I hate drawing hands with a passion), you sometimes just do not see how hands are supposed to look in certain positions. I am surprised someone's not done an embedding with good hands or something but I doubt that would help much.
Thankfully inpainting or outright photoshop can fix most issues with hands.
My theory is that the AI has a single concept of "finger" rather than individual concepts of "pinky finger", "ring finger", etc. So it knows that 75% of the time it should put another finger below the current finger, but doesn't understand that there should be a pinky finger below the ring finger and no finger below the pinky finger.
I think one issue is that fingers are often obscured by objects or other fingers, so the AI would have to actually understand the scene to know how many fingers should be visible. If you only trained it on images with all five fingers visible it would draw exactly five every time.
Other issue is it can't do math. It can't learn there are no more than five fingers because it doesn't know what five means.
