I mean, it's the same in Germany and tons of other European countries, you get up to 2 years also for it which is fucking mental, in the EU as a whole 1-3 years. I don't care about the topic personally but opinions should be free. You can deny the genocide on Armenians by Turkey all you want in the EU btw, if you say it happened some Turk's gonna punch you for sure though.
