Is it 1:1 scale or not as if they shrink it down even a little, I don't think the map will be big enough.
If they do it to an exact scale, I will look for my house. Then I'll drive by my school and find the restaurants I like. Then I will look for friends' houses. Will all the Uncles and Aunties be blocking traffic to let the tourists through?
The problem is most of Oahu is fairly covered in houses, and the rest is dense jungle. I lived in one of the most country parts of the island, and could still see houses everywhere I went. I'm wondering how they will do it. I hope Koa Loa will have dinosaurs and pirates. Also, a crashed plane in Haliewa.
Ahhh, back to their roots of Test Drive Unlimited 1.
I just hope they make the cars the star of the show again, unlike whatever the hell they were doing in The Crew 2.
There will be planes and boats as well.
I had to look up the game. I may buy it to see how it lives up.
IIRC the studio that did The Crew 1 & 2 (Ivory Games) was founded by ex-Eden Games staff. Eden Games being the studio that did Test Drive Unlimited 1 & 2, both which were set on Oahu.
I'm a bit pessimistic about how well they would hold up today, but they were definitely fun games back in their day.
I did not know that. eBay has the games for $10. If I find them for lower I will purchase.
Must resist...preordering.
What do you get from preordering?
Guaranteed stock, I don't usually buy digital copies, so it's important to me.
Lol you were downvoted immediately after commenting and it wasn't even me this time.
Ok I don't see the point of physical unless it's a collector's edition, but yes that's the one legitimate reason to preorder.
Assuming no (((server authentication))) is required to boot up your own game, this is the correct strategy.
Server authentication is always required.
Sadly
I know...
We were just talking about it.
With the Forza Motorsport delay, it's even more tempting. But I know Ubisoft is the enemy, I have to resist until at least when I can get a used copy.
That's just general good advice for anything Ubisoft. I have several of their games that way, and I spent $20 at most for their stuff.
