wtf
I don't know if they're just pushing the narrative super hard recently, but it seems like there have been a ton of public and very weird mass shootings recently. Are people just going nuts right now or what?
On the one hand...kind of based? On the other hand, what is it with all these homeless retards who want to be right in the city? If for some reason I was homeless, I'd want to be near a city, but I'd go semi-deep into nearby woods or something. If this couple had dedicated their time to hauling materials and building that in the woods, that would be pretty cool...still not the most effective way to live, but at least unique. Instead the went blatant, and drew the attention of everyone. Maybe that's what they were after, but it's still retarded. But yeah, if you're going to illegally build your own home, maybe don't do it in a highly visible and doubly illegal location?
You're thinking about homelessness as a temporary state of being, because you're not severely mentally ill, unlike the vast majority of street people.
Unfortunately, our society came to the perverse conclusion that it was unkind to lock people who were a danger to themselves away, and so they now have to fend for themselves.
There are two types of homeless. There is shelter homeless who may be temporary homeless, which is why I'm not against funding homeless shelters per se (which are comparatively safe by the way, the "homeless don't stay in shelters because they are dangerous" is liberal cope).
The second type of homeless is encampment homeless. They are permanent homeless. These are people who choose drugs over shelter. The reason they don't stay in shelters is shelters won't let you take drugs. It isn't a safety concern. Shelters are about a million times safer than encampments. These people are dangerous, filthy and make the streets dangerous and filthy. And they are the reason that you can fund homeless shelters as much as you fucking want and will not reduce encampments one little bit.
Shelter homeless are pitiable. Encampment homeless are shameful. There is purposeful conflation of these two populations to prevent encampment homeless from being dealt with by misdirecting pity that should be reserved for shelter homeless. And of course there's absolutely no pity for the people who make society actually work and there children who are exposed to the filth and danger. A child (or adult for that matter) should not have to walk over used needles or poo or be exposed to a homeless man jacking off on the sidewalk.
It's Chicago. They have murders like this every weekend.
There were atypical shootings recently across the West coast, too, though.
