I watched The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. It was alright. It was very well made, but at the end of the day a lot of people aren't interested in a puppet show. It wasn't that popular. It was also very expensive to make. I'm not surprised at all that it was only a 1 season show, and I don't even think they had material to keep the show going longer. It's a tiny world and there really isn't much to say about it once you overthrow the birds. Critical acclaim and high scores does not = a large audience.
Felt like they yanked it without giving it much promotion and hype, despite being award winning and critically acclaimed. Methinks it had more to do with the message and portrayal of the (((Skeksis))) more than anything.
I've read in a few groups around the net how popular shows like Warrior Nun was canceled even though it had a loyal following. I really liked Captain Powers, but I understand why it was canceled.
The article is about a small but rabid fandom angry that some dumb show called "Warrior Nun" was canceled. Just from the name you know it's some girlpower shit.
This dude knows the number and knows the show isn't popular. The fact that some of its few fans are rabid doesn't mean the show makes financial sense.
No, but they've renewed plenty of unpopular shows.
Dark Crystal says otherwise.

For real.
True, you just lose them to everyone else because everyone treats you as second place, even Disney!

I agree. The trailers for the show aren't the greatest either. Warrior Nun would be an awesome schlocky 70's show.
“Because we don’t have any.”
