We get bombarded by a lot of shit all year round, from governments, media sites to the dying old media. Under this constant barrage of sewage, it's good to have things you can escape to rather than just sit there and absorbing it all like a Liberal arts student.
So whether it's working out, taking walks in a park, gaming, anime or sneaking your trash into that annoying neighbour you have, it's the little things in life.
And although we can hate the management at the top, Youtube is still the number one in terms of content creators and podcasts so what have you enjoyed on that side that stop you looking at bulldozer sales.
I've every week enjoyed Solus Astorias comic dubs, Templin Institute when they are active (off for holidays), Count Dankula and when they drop the Kane Pixels backrooms series showing a teenager has more talent than 99% of Hollywood and media giants. And let's not forget the foriegn market though that language barrier will only last so long to keep out the leftists..
I’ve been listening to a lot of musicals.I’m still a man, right?
Not a man, do you have any musical recommendations?
Not u/simian, and I'll be curious for the answer, but, for me...
Depends a lot on your musical taste. I'm not super into musicals, and I don't know anything particularly new.
Les Miserables
Andrew Lloyd Weber -- Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Man of La Mancha
Camelot
Mary Poppins?
I got a little into Gilbert & Sullivan after seeing the Sideshow Bob episode of The Simpsons where he sings something from the H.M.S. Pinafore.
I have a recording of 1967 Camelot on vinyl and I love it! I was in a few musicals in high school and it’s more of a nostalgic interest to me, but I’ll look into the ones I haven’t seen here like Man of La Mancha.
I may be lame, but I ended up liking the greatest showman a lot more than I thought I would.
Some actually catchy songs in it, also has a pretty wholesome story about a man trying to provide for his family, losing himself a bit along the way, but ultimately choosing NOT to cheat on his wife and going back to his family instead.
The reviewer vs audience score on rotten tomatoes says it all.
Does The Muppet Christmas Carol count?
Michael Caine isn't the greatest singer though.
