Everything new and innovative gets ruined. Netflix revolutionized the movie rental scene, first by having a massive catalog and mailing you movies, then by seamlessly pivoting to on-demand streaming.
So of course, the studios pulled their content off Netflix and created their own inferior copies of the service. Now Netflix is copying them and sticking ads in there. We're fast degenerating to the point where all these streaming services cost as much as cable used to and are chock full of ads. The only practical difference will be that the content is on-demand.
Do they offer a lower price? I don't have netflix anymore but I still have HBO Max and I immediately jumped on the offer for commercials with a lower fee.
In my experience if you want to pay for convenience make numerous gmail accounts, it’s easier to spread the single up deals across multiple accounts. I have watched all college football games for free live because of google and proton mail.

Just in time for the new year, here's the Netflix Orchestra presenting The Anvil Chorus.
Obviously the fucking morons are still in charge.
Plex on a seedbox/NAS is the only way to watch movies nowadays.
I should dig into this, see if it's worth opening a Netflix short. It's up 64% in the last six months, based off...nothing tangible I can tell.
