I have come to deeply despise young black people who act as if they suffered more than people who were actual slaves. I find it funny how older black people I’ve known in life don’t have the chip on their shoulder that some young black person who grew up in the suburbs does. I hope this show bombs. Or why not do a show on the world history of slavery. Slavery in the U.S was a continuation of why was already going on.
Because entitlement sold to integrated children in a post-MLK world need to be especially virulent and inflamatory in order to get them to pay more money to grifters. You can't get money from people who think your job is done.
There's a reason some of the most aggressive and dangerous on more than just a physical level are mixed/lighter-skinned. They got to do something to 'belong' to the black community because they're so assimilated into american culture by being of mixed status already. They held a privileged status in historical times and want people to forget that.
Throw in those whose parents and grand parents are the farthest they go back in this country and you have a built-in audience willing to buy this 'you're oppressed' shit.
