Does it? Admittedly, I have only been to a handful of concerts in my life (most of them metal), and I have not seen anything thrown at the stage outside of minor/lightweight objects. Certainly nothing thrown at the band themselves.
Maybe it’s because people who would do that are already down in the Mosh Pit doing Mosh Pit things.

I’ve been to metal concerts. I’ve never seen this at one, either…
But I have seen it at pop concerts, and at hip hop “gigs”…
