The Shameful Crushing of Dissenters – The Daily Sceptic
Without dissenters to pandemic policies, it would have taken much longer to exit lockdowns. Yet there was a concerted effort in government and media to discredit all dissent, say Carl Heneghan and Tom Jefferson.
Without dissenters we'd still be locked down right fucking now, like in China.
Yet people were slandered, smeared, derided, humiliated and fired over dissenting. And we're supposed to just forget that happened.
I'm convinced that the Freedom Convoy is the only reason mandates were allowed to expire in Canada.
And then I hear people, no longer masking in public, call them "yahoos" or worse. No gratitude or even understanding.
How ignorant do you have to be to think that governments give back freedoms without a fight?
China is only just easing restrictions after the riots there recently.
It will still be a while, particularly with the Lunar New Year being only 6 w weeks away, but the numbers show that they should mostly be OK after they all catch it at least once.
In the West it was just as piss poor and showed how authoritarian those governments are.
Leftists can never permit themselves to be seen as wrong. When reality forces a paradigm shift, the left must pretend that the new position was theirs all along, and that their opponents (aka the original proponents of the new position) never existed. It is industrial gaslighting, possible only with total control of every major government and media institution, and I don’t mean the bullshit that passes for “gaslighting” among the left.
It's a cult.

The entire world would have been much worse for a long time if Andrew Gillum had beaten Ron DeSantis in Florida. There wouldn't have been another Republican governor willing to stand up for what was right on their own.
