On top of what others are saying, I've seen this funny interview with Piers Morgan were Andrew said 25 year old women are not as sexy as 20 year olds. And Piers went slightly crazy do to it being factual correct and he could not do anything then calling Andrew a misogynist. It was very funny to see Piers being thrown off-balance.
And on the interview here, he is not wrong. I've seen modern day Christianity and it is underwhelming. I see Christians that are Christians in name only. I've even put a simple question, "What does it mean, in your day to day life, to be Christian?" and people are very confused. No one defends their faith, they have no rules that they need to follow, the foundation of Christianity is very shaky at the moment.
Somewhat related I've been to an orthodox baptism a couple of weekends ago and the priest doing the ceremony made it about imperialism, feminism and how children are the most oppressed. To put it in to perspective, Christian Orthodox churches are some of the most conservative churches you can find.

Take that with a grain of salt. I would say anymore that every denomination is going to have a stupidly wide variety of political/biblical conservatism levels. It's more dependent on each church's local community and the positions of the pastors/priests.
Some denominations may have better odds of a specific church hosting a healthy, conservative community, but it's not a guarantee.
So many churches in the US seem to care about pleasing the world. The Bible says that you will be hated. That’s a shame that the priest went off on that tangent. I know during summer of love some churches preached about white privilege. But we gotta stick to the word.
I wish he went off on a tangent, he more or less said that Jesus died to change how we think, to show us how the romans were crushing other countries / tribes and how women were slaves, he actually said that women were slaves back then. Then he said that today children are the most oppressed.
I've been reading / listening the bible and I did not notice any major critique of the romans. If anything it puts the Jews in a bad light. I've also not read Jesus criticizing how women were treated in the household.
Making Jesus sacrificing himself about feminism and anti-imperialism is strange at the very least.
Very much so. I am glad to see you getting into the word. Let me know if you have any questions. Not that I’m a theological scholar but I always enjoy biblical discussions

I'm currently in to Kings 1. Surprisingly captivating for a religious text.
Good God that interview was a testament to what an unmitigated asshole Piers Morgan is 😆
At one point Tate asked something along the lines of, “Well then what is misogyny as YOU define it.”
And he replies, “being negative about any woman ever.”
Holy shit.
