Midling lukewarm moderates serving as the attack dogs of the progressives.
As far as I know, Peterson calls himself left-wing, at least by temperament. Also, to defend him, he has made the strongest and most contemporary influential critique against marxism. In fact, most of what he says that relates to politics is against the left.

If you have beyond a cursory knowledge of psychology, almost everything he said was so surface level and buzzword filled it showed him to be a charlatan from the get go.

I was definitely fooled as well. I came to him from the left so I couldn't see him as containment for something I didn't yet understand.
