I’m getting the Xbox game pass on my laptop and since I’ve heard it described as Skyrim in space I’ll give it a chance since Skyrim is my favorite. I am worried due to the direction gaming has gone what will be injected in it

Is it a singleplayer game or do they force you to go online to play it?
If it's a purely singleplayer game I might give it a try ... 2 years after release. By then it should be mostly bug-free, completely released and it should be clear if it's woke or not. By then the GOTY is probably 80-90% off or I'll just ...uh ... borrow it from a friend.

They might still force players online as some kind of DRM-scheme under the pretense of "community features" like the new Hitman games did. Or maybe they'll do it to finally get their paid mod store.
