I skimmed through the medium post he made and it’s absolute kikery if true. Afaik Marty and id/Bethesda haven’t made any counter statement yet.
The music was a not insignificant part of why people loved DOOM 2016 so much and the whole heavy metal aspect is a part of DOOM’s identity in popular culture. Dragging their dicks all over it and fucking over Mick was a huge mistake, as much as I loved Eternal this definitely put a bad taste in my mouth and I worry for DOOM’s future under Bethesda.
Oh well, at least I’ll always have the original and centuries worth of kickass wads to play with.
Bellular News, a YouTube channel I subscribe to that talks about gaming industry news, dropped a video today about Mick Gordon and ID Software's infamous open letter laying the blame solely at his feet. Mick tell his side and supposedly has receipts. Just figured I'd post it as it shows more scummy behavior from game developer studios.
Call me nit-picky, but this is such an obnoxious term. Lefties place such an unwarranted value on their interactions that they would associate them with transactions.
