So the man who isn’t president anymore is still on his mind? I’ve read some of the comic books but I guess I’ve grown weary of super hero deconstruction. Is it worth watching? I’ve been reading some classic Superman and Spider-Man lately.
Literally no one talks about it in the slightest except when Homelander is involved.
They keep trying to up the ante and make him more and more villainous to combat his fandom, and it has failed every time because no one else is remotely interesting or likeable.
So if you are the type who can enjoy a show like that, its probably enjoyable enough.
Oh man, I re-watched DS9 this last summer and they took Gul Dukat from a complex villain/frenemy of the crew to an unredeemable shit by the end of the Dominion occupation of Cardassia.
It's pretty jarring when you bring watch the show and don't have years between the seasons to forget how he used to be.
Because Behr was butthurt Dukat was so popular and Alaimo was so charismatic. There's an awkward bit in the recent documentary where Alaimo says as much in an "is he joking or isn't he?" kind of way and Behr gets defensive.

What's the over under on them revealing Homelander is literally Satan to spite the fans, a la Gul Dukat?

They've already pulled out the Literal Nazi, so Satan is all they have left.
But I think they are also somewhat aware he is the only draw they have so they aren't going full assassination on him.
