There was that one dude on TikTok, I forget his name but he was some soyboy talking about how the Bible is actually "progressive" and "pro LGBT", then in a later interview he said he doesn't believe in god and the afterlife much like how SJWs hate the source material of whatever franchise theyre ruining.
I remember an atheist asked people like that why they don’t just do their own thing because even as an atheist the Bible is very clear on certain things so why demand that it adjust to you? But that is what we see in entertainment with the whole “updated for modern audiences”.
Exactly, reminds me of an argument I had years ago with a leftist about the whole "Jesus was a communist" bs talking point, and I asked wouldn't it have made more sense for communist regimes to adopt Christianity as the state religion rather than doing their best to suppress and oppose it?
Exactly. And I hate the whole Jesus was a socialist argument. Jesus voluntarily helped others and commanded us to do so. God loves a cheerful giver because we should be helping others out of love and not via taxation or force

Exactly, there is a difference between voluntary charity and being part of a forced collective where how much you share is decided for you.
