Yeah it's called 'moonlighting' well back before our time moonlighting was considered a super heinous act as an employee. I think the mind frame at the time was you as a business owner were trying to tap your employee for the most amount of potential you could get out of them and you can't do that if they're working for another job.
Um but work culture has totally changed... people see you need to put food on the table and folks want to grow in life.... which is why imo equifax going all 1940s is wild it me...............
Holy shit that was exactly their mind frame........."including in many cases their own admission that they had a secondary full-time position, which prevented them from fulfilling their full time obligations to Equifax."
It's a ton of independent workers doing quick contracts because all the AI and tech means the company only needs to be three people and a dog to work. It's happening everywhere.

Wow
Company loyalty is also at a low because it's easier to move up by going from company to company than moving up the ladder slowly
There is no ladder anymore, it’s hop scotch with hopes your lateral move outpaces inflation

I wonder if this is in part caused by the fact that we've become a low trust society or if it's simply a correlation.
We've become a 'squeeze and hang out to dry' society.
Honestly I'm demoralized and kinda ready for all to be over today.
