Things regularly 'trend' with just a few dozen replies or likes - but only if they are the sort of thing some pozzed globohomo type would want you to read.
Whenever something non-faggoty trends, it will stay up there for an hour or two before magically disappearing and being replaced by its counter-argument, which will be trending with just 5% of the activity, and will stay up there all day.
