they're original though they got ideas from other stories. . The authors are virtue signallers that go on about "muh diversity" though but they acknowledge its "manga style" and not manga on their website. The issue is the constant virtue signalling thats annoying, like the virtue signalling post gets 97k likes.

True. Nothing wrong with being inspired by other cultures and if they were fans of manga then that’s great but as you stated the rules of cultural appropriation seem to go one way. Thankfully it’s pretty easy to see how stupid the people that talk about cultural appropriation are
