Don’t new forms of energy come about over time? Once something is more efficient than oil and gas it will happen. Stop forcing things. Also once we do mining in space that will provide a ton of energy
We had wood, water and wind, then coal, then biological oil, then petroleum and natural gas, but by the time nuclear came along governments had gotten just barely big enough to strangle anything new in its crib. So no, we won't be getting any more forms of energy; we're stuck with what we have and once we lose it, we're just getting shortages.
That really sucks because it doesn't have to be this way. We should be using more nuclear and there is nothing wrong with trying out new forms of energy but they insist on forcing it. Like I said, I think once we start mining in space that will be great.

It was called nuclear and "green" groups called it the devil despite the costs involved in rare metal excavations required for solar and wind alternatives.
This "crisis" shouldn't be happening because any sane civilization would have embraced such a novel form of power generation such as nuclear decades ago rather than listening to the loudest and most deranged voices whining otherwise.
Nuclear is a dead dream. If government regulations didn't already kill it, demographic trends will make it infeasible. But we should be building more, at least then once we've been fully replaced in our countries, they will only have a few decades before the timebombs go off due to incompetence

Yeah but Chernobyl [and it's extremely poor management] and Fukushima [and it's extremely poor construction]! 🙄
Checkmate, Curiests!
Agreed. I live in Texas and they have some nuclear power for the grid but I think more reactors should be built
