Of all the real slurs, Gringo seems to have the most bite to me, at least phonetically speaking. Any others with teeth refer to specific races and not white skinned in general.

Greaser Bog-trotter Kraut Kike

etc

Black people love white people. When they call you a cracka, it's a term of endearment.

Latinos who say "gringo" genuinely dislike Americans. At least with the South Americans, I genuinely think that they think that they're better than us.

Gaijin, though its connotations are much more shaky than other examples.

Is that one a slur though? It seems to be used more matter-of-factly than as an insult, and also encapsulates whites, blacks, hispanics, even other asians.

Gaijin is more or less "foreigner". A word that definitely can have hostile meanings, but also perfectly factual ones, but rarely complimentary ones. Evil or Neutral, not Good.

When your culture is as xenophobic as the Japanese, "foreigner" takes on a sinister tone.

That is the fun thing. It definitely can and is used as an insult. Context and intend matters. Just like with other words like nigger.

exactly, except the Japanese don't scream that only they can use it.
