The gate has always been left open in the past.

*raises hand* Uh....why?

Border Patrol opening gates etc to allow migrants in is not new. They have to process migrants on U.S. soil per federal law.

*raises hand again* Couldn't we just...not process them? Since they're not "migrants" yet, if you stop them before they're on US soil?

These people act like everyone is retarded. And, to be fair, they're mostly right. But it still pisses me off.
