Urban “renewal”/“regeneration” has made them more like… Inner London, or Paris, with localized pockets of almost always Aboriginal poverty (Redfern in Sydney, West End in Brisbane, West/North Melbourne), but then those are surrounded by relative wealth…
Inner suburbs like Hamilton are always the wealthiest part of each capital city, and then real, independent-of-ethnicity poverty is generally found much more widespread in the outer suburbs and satellite towns…
