So most likely they need to update their cert.
Try nitter.it instead. I like the color scheme better and it seems faster anyway.
I'm a little apprehensive towards trying anything based in the European Union.
.it is the domain for Italy.
.net is just one instance hosted by someone. There are many many more.

Yeah. Their certificate expired yesterday. Surprised that isn't automated, they are using letsencrypt and there are lots of ways to automate replacing expired certs.
notabird.site is the current nitter alternate site I use.
The cert thing is true, but also that alert is still true once they update. There is no privacy on the internet.
I use the Nitter.eu instance (which turns into .it).

(Fun fact: you can also migrate twitters geo-blocks by using different nitter instances, for example in order to se e tweets from RT)
I've had quite a bit of trouble getting it to load at all. I don't know how common that is though.
