The embracing of harems is all kinds of fucked up. Having it's origins in racist bullshit from from Colonial European travellers

Ah yes, the white people who witnessed the harems are at fault here, not the cultures that actually had them.

The mental gymnastics that must be employed to indirectly criticize middle eastern traditions are truly impressive.
