The problem is every game company saw what happened to Activision. If Microsoft didn't buy it for the Call of Duty name, they'd have been paying out lawsuits to random women until the day of bankruptcy.
They don't have the ability to tell women no. Rockstar North is based in the UK, don't forget. The only place more fucked than CA when it comes to women's control over everything.
That strategy obviously didn't work. Not to mention buying the same product multiple times could be said to encourage stagnation, which Rockstar has definitely been going through, seeing how they haven't even made a new GTA game for close on to ten years now and are porting V to everything.
Problem is 3 of your 4 purchases are peasantry which always produces substandard material by the time of launch, has diminished options for player based longevity projects relating to mods that often keep a game going far beyond the actual Devs have stopped working on it thereby providing actual free advertisement and support, and almost always needs to dumb down input methods because said input is limited to a controller rather than having an entire keyboard to play with.
If you want more of things you like, you have to support them.
“Fool me thrice...four times...and I’ll tell you how it was the fault of women worldwide”
But I didn't get fooled. I got what I paid for.
