Time to dig up me saying exactly this was happening back when the mandates happened. Hot air trapped with moisture creates a bacterial breeding ground. This is why “maskne” was a thing. Of course no one talks about that bacteria going straight into your lungs everytime you breathe.
As someone with Boomer parents who get all of their information from the MSM, I can assure you that they did not see this coming, and my father has just told me that he doesn't believe this study.
The other day I was in the sporting good section of walmart and had a good chuckle at the "high altitude training masks" they had to help you train for sporting events in high altitude areas.
Meanwhile schools forcing high school kids to wear masks during track meets were telling parents that they didn't know why their kids were fainting in the middle of races but it absolutely was not due to the masks.
When the stupid mandates were still enforced and I had to wear one at work, I’d just leave it in my car and never bother washing it. It eventually got to the point where every breath would burn and sting my throat. Whoops. Never again.
More like, if you’re able to breathe it doesn’t protect you/stop you from spreading.
Like where do people think the air goes when they exhale? Where do they think the air comes from when the inhale? They have to think a piece of cloth is literally filtering everything.
This whole thing really put on blast how little people think. And the people who are willing to put any thought into it will come up with the most insane shit to validate their predetermined opinion.
My understanding is that a tiny amount of virus capsules are trapped by a moisture barrier on the mask. But that would only have a marginal protective effect for others in the extremely specific circumstance that: 1) You are literally sick with the virus or asymptomatic transfer is a thing (not sure if that was even proven?), 2) You are only next to a person in a non-confined space for a short window of time - shorter than that and there's no risk in the first place, longer than that and enough virus gets through anyway. 3) The mask is fitted properly, you don't have a beard, and it hasn't been subsequently handled by your grubby fingers.
And this is just a theory. I don't know that it's been experimentally demonstrated.

Oh look, the thing literally everyone saw coming.

Sigh
Okay, everyone of us saw this coming.

The asphyxiation will continue until the track times improve.

If your mask doesn't protect you from mustard gas, it doesn't protect you from covid.
