(platitudes like "we believe in freedom of speech" or "we're opposed to cancel culture" aren't enough) Most of these require powerful people (elites, influencers) to be on our side and publicly fighting this battle to make it more acceptable and normalized. That enlightened liberal positions are the default view is taken for granted by most.
