By the end of fiscal 2023, it could be up to 28,000 soldiers short of its 476,000
This seems like nothing to me. I agree that woke army does not look appealing but this could just be that young men today are fat, lazy and unmotivated. Kids that are considered normal today used to be considered fat when I was in school. It is also depressing to see how many high school boys lack upper body strength, maybe is the lockdowns, porn, online media or maybe the food but damn is it depressing to see.
It's not just that, although that is certainly a factor. The US military, starting with Obama, has been undergoing a cultural revolution. Whenever I hear young men talking about joining the military, I always try to talk them out of it.
Lot of people in my family are ex-military and they're doing that too. They're all disappointed in how the military's gotten over the past few decades.
fit young men on the right won't join because they don't want to die in a foreign country thousands of miles away from home fighting for you know who, only mid brain miga crowd still thinks joining the military is patriotic/defending our freedoms
The fact that they are only like 6% short is actually a bit disappointing. 1) Wars are now fought to spread GAE ideology to other countries. 2) Leaders are idiots and can't even accomplish (1). 3) The leaders have expressed contempt for the type of American who would typically serve. 4) "Diversity." 5) They will fire you for not taking a vaccine that doesn't work.

Every single US military veteran I see on various internet forums nowadays is shouting "For the love of God do not join" from the rooftops.

Did I miss anything.
What are the retention/reenactment numbers like?
“Join the Army and be left to die in Afghanistan.”
No, and fuck you.
Well when it’s a high risk job you don’t want Command filled with check box hires instead of a meritocracy.
