Yea. I don’t understand that. With Eric July I’ve listened to him long enough to where he has earned me buying the first issue of his comic book. If it sucks then I won’t buy anymore but I can respect that he tried. I also need to buy Razorfist’s book. I love Nerdrotic, Geeks and Gamers, Drinker, etc but I’ve heard the criticism that they just complain which I can get but I know Nerdrotic is opening his store for vintage comics. And I hope they start promoting other indie work
Thats nice but doesn't get to the root of the problem. That the enemy is destroying the links between the past and the present. That in turn is disconnecting people from each other and even worse, being unable to use the shared interest to make new connections.
Star Wars fans had a shared history the connected them to 40 years. The as much shit as the prequels got they still added to it. Even the star wars/star trek "rivalry" was fundamentally a friendly one.
The goal of the enemy is to destroy the ability to relax and enjoy ANYTHING without politics sucking all of the fun out of it. Doubly so for anything that could possibly give ordinary men and women a connection. "I like the the old star wars but not the new ones" "oh you hate women".
Why exactly do you expect people to be able to individually solve the "root" of the problem? What are you expecting them to do? Why are you complaining that people are trying to create alternatives? What the fuck have you done yourself?
Good video. I like his insight
But don't try to be the change and make alternative culture or people will attack you from all sides. (even people who should be your allies)

Drinker published a couple of books before he opened his YouTube channel, I think.
Oh cool. I like his reviews. I’ll check out his books

I got attacked on a Star Wars group for asking if there were any non Disney Star Wars groups they knew of or Expanded Universe groups

Check out my comment for related videos. (Corporate film making by check boxes and narcissism of self insert, plus cultural vandalism basically.)
