More to think about: people who would otherwise have no interest in politics would go out and vote if their favorite celebrity told them to. Imagine doing all this research to make an informed decision while the bimbo behind you is only there because Taylor Swift told her to go out and vote. All your effort to be an informed citizen - canceled by that one bimbo.
Almost like property owners should be the only ones voting.
That would work if houses weren't artificially inflated with immigration and jews buying them all up.
Property prices would rocket. And what would you do with people who own multiple? Do they get more votes?
It's not perfect, but the current system we have is untenable. We have more and more net takers voting.
Our voting system is premised on the idea that the voters are all citizens who are voting for what they think is best for their city/state/country- a group of people deciding how to spend "our" money and resources.
When you have people who don't pay into the system, they have no stake in the game, and it becomes them deciding how to spend other people's money.
Fun fact: That's the original purpose of insurance co-pays. Apparently when the patient has to pay even a small amount like $10, they only seek treatments they really believe they need. When the up front premium is all they pay, patients consume healthcare like it's free, because it effectively is to them.
There should be a tremendous list of things that lose you the right to vote. Top of the list would be any form of welfare.
