Well there’s your problem. Ditch that trash and replace it with Brave, which was founded by the the former Firefox CEO who was harassed out of the organization for supporting traditional marriage.
Even Brave has a 'show sponsored images' option under the 'customize' section, which I had to neuter when the cryptobro ukraine colored ads made an appearance.
Otherwise, it's a fine choice of browser. Built in ad-block, minimal bullshit.
The problem is all these alternative browsers are essentially forks of the browsers by companies that hate us, and it's because of how stratified the Internet has become.
All the browsers are basically the same on the inside, but it's just the superficial UIX-related things that browsers compete for.

Vivaldi is like the old Opera, even made by some of the original developers. It even has a notes function, which I use extensively.
