I'm not optimistic, but I'll give it a shot. Probably a smart move that this doesn't mention SJW politics or "pori-kore" and focuses on her incompetence and rudeness. From what I've heard Atlus is a modern company infested with insane gaijin. It practically attracts those types.
Good to have, but don't go too crazy on this one: the "localization" involved with the porting, as far as I know, doesn't involve the scripts. If I'm wrong, go fucking crazy.
A very woke person is involved who constantly brags about messing with scripts. Also bad localizers have the worst habit of trying to influence the people in Japan to change things all the time so they need to be pushed out of the profession altogether. .
Yeah, I did hear that much at least. Above all else, I just want to make sure the issue with this particular instance is not "fucking with the scripts" if there's no proof they're touching the scripts, that's all. Fake news is fake news until it isn't. But bad actors that give their profession a horrible name really should be driven out.
Do we trust the localizer who openly praised script tampering for political purposes to tell the truth when the dogs came barking for them and always only intended to do the minimal scope of the job?
I wouldn't, especially as the claimed localizing involves changing parts of the script to show proper button prompts as per their claim. Meaning they are adjacent enough to being able to change other words.
If Japanese creative types didn't put in their licensing contract terms to defend the artistic integrity of the work, I doubt they can do anything even if they cared about what the international fans want.
regardless of whether it works or not its important to have our voices heard. If there's one thing the left is good at doing is making sure their voices are heard, (and being annoying) even if it doesnt work. So we should do the same.
