Phrase it like "Why should I be obligated to protect you? I have no duty to you or anyone, my safety is as important as yours." Keep it gender neutral. State the inarguable reality that you owe nothing to anyone. After all, that's simple turnabout-- feminists also insist they owe nothing to anyone. This doesn't have much to do with your comment but "social contract" is an excellent term to describe what feminism destroyed. All the whining about what men are or aren't doing boils down to anger that they're not fulfilling their side of the social contract. Why aren't they holding up their end of the bargain? Because feminism removed the obligation for women to hold up their side of the deal. Men are just realizing that they've been sold a false bill of goods and that there's no benefit to continuing to play the game.
I think pointing out hypocrisy is fine if you're realistic about what it can accomplish. Leftists might not care about being hypocrites but someone on the fence watching their antics will. Leftists have a real knack for driving people into the arms of their opponents and our job is to illustrate their bullshit in clear terms to expedite that process.
