By the way, that very same thing happened in Germany a few days ago.
A group of "men" harassed a couple of women on a train. A German passenger told them to stop so they beat him up, chased him out of the train and kept beating him.
In a situation like that it's probably best to stay on the train. There are cameras and witnesses everywhere, and eventually the operator will have to call the police because of the fighting. You might be dead by the time they show up, but how do you know that won't happen if you run off the train? Where are you going to go?
It's sad there weren't more men there to stand with him.
