This creature is ridiculously and (at least somewhat) intentionally obtuse.

The 'can you tell me what a cat is?' bit was fucking gold. And this YT critter said it made no sense at all because it wasn't relevant. When the point had nothing to do with a cat at all, it was using logic to point out you don't have to belong to a group to be able to recognize it.
