I used to say in the early 2000s that gays needed their own channel when I started hearing demands for more gays on tv. I figured for such a small percentage they would never be content until they had their own network. I guess I was naive.
Just looking at pure numbers I am not sure why a company built on being a family company would spend an inordinate amount of time trying to pander to lgbt. It’s a big market. Lgbt groups have the money to make their own content. Although there are lots of black channels but you still have ones that keep insisting on representation. So I guess some people will never be satisfied
Yep. That is what I came to realize. In a true free market I should be free to say, I’m not interested in lgbt content so I’ll watch this other network. As a Christian I love those sappy faith based movies. They would scream bloody murder if I demanded everyone watch those
It’s tyranny by minority. They demand to be “equal” by being massively over represented, receive special treatment and be held to lower standards. This is why it’s acceptable to groom and rape straight people but asking what biological structure causes gayness is a hate crime.

Our grandparents and great-grandparents raised half a dozen kids on a single income. It's not a matter of being able to afford children, but of choosing instant gratification and easy luxury over the sacrifices required to have children.
Good thing only 1.5% of all hourly employees earn the federal minimum wage in this nation according to the BLS.
The amount of people who actually work for minimum wage in this nation is minute yet everyone seems to think those numbers are in the tens of millions of people

It's not that they want gay content, it's that they want you (and particularly your children) to have no access to non-gay content.

Having BET hasn't stopped black people from being overrepresented in television. Just saying.
