The "refugees" used riot control grenades in addition to just stones and such. There were rumors of men being armed with lethals and organized into groups by Belarusian special services, but nothing came out of it and it mostly fizzled out (for now).
Also there were Libyan bodies found recently, but they were just assorted Wagner mercs who were fighting for Russia since the failed Libyan campaign. (Still no proof of Syrians.)
Ethiopians and Eritreans are supposedly mortal enemies, but Ethiopia's allowing Eritrean forces to invade Tigray during the current civil war / genocide. (Meanwhile Tigrayans also allied with Somalis and other Ethiopian minorities in one rebel front.)
But anyway, if they're added to the already massive numbers of Asians (Siberia & Far East) and Caucasians among Russian forces (due to demographic trends and also ethnic martial cultures coupled with poverty), eastern forces will be more ethnically and racially diverse then even the historical Mongols (and the Huns before them, who were actually a vast Eaurasian tribal confederacy apparently, rather than just a bunch of merely Central/East Asians as popularly believed; hey Hungarians).

Apparently, Russia is having serious issues in getting conscripts to die for their invasion.
They only use conscripts from occupied territories. Not their own.
They also sometimes give them WWII rifles and SMGs. Not modernized.
