Hear me out a second, but I think they actually could be being oppressed.
The BBC, and all the other woke companies have embraced Critical Race Theory. The underlying motivation of CRT is to provide an out for racist white liberals to continue their racist actions while, at the same time, acting like they are the only non-racists (anti-racists) and lording it over everyone else.
I have no inside evidence but I posit that the BBC, while putting out woke crap and acting like the sun shines out their ass, is actually treating their black employees like crap because they hate them.
Consider whether you hate black people and women more or less after the BBC shoehorns them into every production, while ruining those productions at the same time. These shows suck because they have terrible writing, dumb characters, huge plot holes, and preachy political messages. But the show runners play up the "we have a black women president" angle to try to get people to think that it's because of representation that the shows suck, not because they made yet another shitty show.
TL;DR: The BBC actually hates blacks and women and puts their faces on shows they know are bad to make the public hate them as well.
