I thought I understood it before, but, I can't reconcile it anymore. Why is every new show just pure aids? There are no viewers, these studios are losing money. Critics are panned and the audience hates them. There is no upside to any of it, even the woke think this is shit and refuse to watch it because it doesn't fit their narrative and they personally didn't come up with it. So, why?
Destroying our cultural touchstones is the goal. It's the only way that any of this makes sense. It can't be about profit in the normal sense, as most of these projects fail. If it is about money, these companies must be getting money from a nontraditional source.
The sheer number of franchises and properties destroyed by woke leftism is a little staggering. It includes: Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr. Who, Marvel, DC, He-Man, Lord of the Rings, Mass Effect, Terminator, Ghostbusters, James Bond, Watchmen, Assassin's Creed, Last of Us, and Halo. That list isn't even near exhaustive, by the way. There are far more that didn't come to mind at the moment.
I honestly hope creators learn from this. Keep your IPs, make a direct ending to your stories, and enjoy your fans. The good news from this is that it he woke corporations have opened the door for other creators to fill the gaps left by the virus (like Elden Ring, Demon Slayer, Mechwarrior, Brandon Sanderson, and the new wave of comic creators.)
If you mean that game series itself, then very possibly (idk enough to comment on it. My experience extends to MW4 waaay back).
But Battletech, the setting/franchise, is definitely vulnerable. The recent PC game wasn't completely free of woke nonsense and the only reason it probably didn't get more was it happened to be in development in the mid-10s. It was definitely there though. It had pronouns in character creation, one of the pre-made chars in the campaign was based on one of the anti-GG journos, majority of the main good characters were women..
The wokeness was tempered but it was present in the game. We're "lucky" that the tabletop game is relatively obscure today otherwise it'd be falling into wokeism just like all the major players.
I’m talking Battletech tabletop, Battletech fluff books, and pre-Mechwarrior Online. The best books were made by Stackpole (writer of the original X-Wing series) and the basic rules are free.
The tabletop game has had issues with online infiltration for ages but it's been mostly protected by all the bookkeeping the tabletop game requires. Being hard to get into isn't always a bad thing.
The upside for them is reproducing their ideology.
Been watching so many things be destroyed that it's easier to count that which isn't gone.
