It is, though.

If I punch a woman in the face, it doesn't matter how much she provoked me beforehand. It doesn't matter if she hit me first. It doesn't matter if she hit me five, ten fucking times, I'm going to jail for 6 months.

If I punch a man in the face with zero provocation, for no reason whatsoever... Unless my punch broke bones, odds are, fucking nothing is happening to me.
